In 2026, YJCEN supplied two dual-screen 55-inch digital drive-thru menu boards for a new restaurant project in Europe. Each unit combines two 55-inch portrait screens, providing four screens in total for displaying menus and promotional content beside the drive-thru lane.
During project discussions, the customer highlighted the need to plan separate pedestrian and vehicle routes and make effective use of the space reserved for menu displays. YJCEN recommended a dual-screen configuration based on the restaurant’s scale, expected customer traffic, menu and promotional content, and available lane width.

Project Requirements: Planning Displays for a New Restaurant
The customer was developing a new restaurant and selecting its drive-thru display equipment as part of the site planning process. The project called for a configuration that could accommodate the restaurant’s menu and promotional content while fitting the space allocated beside the vehicle lane.
The customer also identified the separation of pedestrian and vehicle routes as a planning requirement. The menu boards needed to work within that broader layout, with their position and overall footprint considered alongside the planned vehicle route.
Why this configuration
| Site condition | Selected specification |
|---|---|
| Matching the Display Area to the Menu | Two adjacent screens provide separate areas for organising menu categories and featured offers. This gave the customer a layout around which to plan its content, with room to distribute product images and pricing across the paired panels. |
| Fitting the Planned Vehicle Route | Lane width and the area reserved for the equipment were also part of the selection process. Adding screens increases the overall width of a menu board, so the configuration needed to be considered in relation to the site layout. |
With 3,000-nit brightness and an IP66 protection rating, the menu boards are designed for outdoor menu presentation beside the drive-thru lane. The high-brightness screens support menu visibility in bright daylight, while the enclosure provides protection against dust and powerful water jets.

For a different site, assess sunlight readability, environmental protection and operating conditions before choosing a configuration. Follow our outdoor digital signage selection guide.
